- [Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center](/companies/providence-saint-joseph): Fourth employer on the July 2025 city table, at 2,542 jobs, 1.5 percent. A nonprofit hospital. Much of a nonprofit hospital campus is outside the secured property-tax roll, so employment rank is the wrong proxy for tax rank. The Los Angeles Business Journal printed a Providence address at 181 South Buena Vista Street. The hospital campus is also published at 501 South Buena Vista Street. Both are stored. Neither is a published tax bill.
